ACQUIRING A FRANCHISE
Most owner/operators enter the system by purchasing a new restaurant, spa, food truck, or related business. Financial requirements vary depending on the method of acquisition and location.
Financial Requirements/Down Payment
An initial down payment is required when purchasing a new venture (typically 40% of the total cost). This must come from non-borrowed personal resources, such as cash, securities, vested profit sharing (net of taxes), or business/real estate equity (excluding personal residence).
The minimum down payment varies by opportunity. Generally, we require substantial non-borrowed personal resources to consider applicants, with opportunities in various regions potentially requiring more or less based on specifics. Additional funds may position you better for multi-unit opportunities.
Financing
We require a minimum 25% cash down payment toward the purchase. The remaining balance may be financed for up to seven years. While we do not offer direct financing, our owner/operators benefit from established relationships with national lenders, often securing competitive rates.
Ongoing Fees
During the franchise term, you pay the following fees:
Service fee: A monthly fee based on sales performance (currently 6.0% of monthly sales).
Rent: A monthly base rent or percentage of monthly sales.
Our franchising model is built on the foundation of Think Cosmopolitan, Inc. our aerospace company incorporated in 2016 from the fusion of Romain Dubus Corp and Makyun Corp (both founded in 2013). All entities operate DBA Think Cosmopolitan, with revenues supporting our aerospace initiatives and the Mars Project, aiming to create sustainable habitats on Mars by the late 2020s.
As part of our aerospace focus, franchise revenues help advance cutting-edge technologies for space exploration, including habitat designs and life support systems.
